Close Baby Carrier Instructions
Upright Position (facing in) - suitable from birth

These instructions show you how to do a upright carry using the Close Baby Carrier.

Pull the Close Carrier over your head like a vest. The label should be on your back and the loops of fabric forming a cross in front. Tighten by pulling through the rings so that there is room for your baby but not too much spare fabric. Lift your baby up on to your left shoulder. Support her with one hand and with the other, ease her left foot through the fabric that is going over your right shoulder.

Move her across to your right shoulder and now put her right leg through the left shoulder fabric. Spread out the lower layer of fabric well. Make sure it is spread right across her bottom and up the length of her back.

Do the same with the upper layer of fabric. Pull the fabric through the rings for a snug and secure fit.

Optional Steps: If you wish you can tie the ends of fabric in a single or double knot to keep them out of the way. This is particularly helpful if you are petite. For additional back support for you and your baby take the extra sash of fabric with the label in front of you.

Tie it behind your back in a double knot. Spread the fabric from below your baby's bottom right up to the back of her neck. This is particularly useful for wriggly babies who have a tendency to throw themselves backwards!
